Read-a-thon Update!

Saturday, October 18, 2008

YAY! The Read-a-thon has finally arrived! I've been comfortably lounging around all day with a stack of my beloved tomes. This is pretty much the first time I've taken a break, so I've come to update you on my doings! Thus far, I have re-read: Brave New World by Huxley, Wake by McMann, Haunted and Twilight by Cabot, and now I am finishing up Smoke and Mirrors by Gaiman. Quite a productive day. Been at it some 11 hours and change, which is pretty impressive even for me. I feel like I'm an enegizer power bunny...except not pink...or a bunny.

Anyhow, it's been a fun day. Now, I'm going to go get myself some real food. Perhaps even make a cup of hot cocoa before settling down to read some more. And so concludes this edition of "True Life: I'm a nerd." Check back tomorrow!

  4. Thanks for all the support, guys!

Grayskyeyes: It's funny you post that comic...I almost used it on Friday, but opted at the last moment for the Extreme Reading one!

  6. Unknown Said,

As a late night cheerleader, I'd like to say...you've done very well.

Once you're up and at it again, I have a short story challenge up at my blog.

    http://www.readywhenyouarecb.blogspot.com/

I was late posting it so the deadline is not until the end of the read-a-thon.

Please stop by if you can.
